National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR)

The NCTR provides educational resources to promote further understanding about the legacy of the Indian Residential School (IRS) system and its multi-generational impacts. The NCTR is the home of the TRC’s Final Report, which is a six-volume report of the experiences of survivors, history of the IRS system, and calls to action for reconciliation. The NCTR also provides a series of videos and activities by educators and students related to reconciliation.

FirstVoices — Language Legacies Celebrating Indigenous Cultures

FirstVoices is a suite of web-based tools and services designed to support Aboriginal people engaged in language archiving, language teaching, and culture revitalization. The FirstVoices Language Archive contains thousands of text entries in many diverse aboriginal writing systems enhanced with sounds, pictures, and video. FirstVoices also provides free apps and games to help people in their journey to maintain their language.

Some language archives at FirstVoices are publicly accessible, while others are password protected at the request of the language community.
